NAM and IR do different jobs
NAM runs a learned response of an amp, pedal or other gear using supported A1/A2 .nam models. IR Loader uses impulse responses of cabinets, microphones or spaces. Add a cabinet IR to an amp-head-only capture; start without an extra IR when the capture already includes a cabinet.
Local files
Use file import in TONES to choose NAM or IR files you have permission to use, then assign a tone to its block. Files with identical names can contain different data. When moving to another device, include required tone files in your personal backup as well as presets.

When a model is unavailable
Reselect unsupported, damaged or missing model files. A saved preset name does not guarantee the model file is present. Download required tones before a performance and confirm that the rig prepares without a network connection.
Optional TONE3000 connection
Connect TONE3000 from TONES or Settings, sign in through the service’s authentication screen, and import a tone you select. Local effects do not require a TONE3000 account. Disconnect removes local credentials, not the TONE3000 account itself.

Content rights
The model engine’s open-source license is separate from the license of each tone file. Check creator attribution and the individual license; do not distribute a personal backup to other users. Third-party amp captures are not bundled with NAM FX.
