Troubleshooting

No input, moving meters with no sound, clicks and connections.

All instructional screenshots in this manual show iPad.

The IN meter does not move

Check microphone permission, the selected device, the Path’s IN number, the instrument cable and interface input gain. Selecting IN 1 will not capture a guitar connected to IN 2. Enable PATH B before using its input.

Find it on screen

  1. Check the interface under Audio device and match PATH A’s IN to the physical instrument input.
  2. This example selects IN 2 on Audient iD4. With PATH B off, its input controls are disabled.

IN and OUT move, but there is no sound

Check the Path Output pair and physical headphone/speaker connection. Ensure the interface monitor mix is not set only to direct input. Close other audio apps and reconnect NAM FX to compare. If the looper and metronome are also silent, check monitoring from OUT 1/2 first. If only the instrument is silent, check the selected Path’s output, bypass and mute controls.

Doubled sound or crackles

For doubled dry and processed sound, check interface direct monitoring. Reduce input gain and chain/output levels for sustained clipping. For crackles or dropouts, increase the buffer and check power, hubs, cables, CPU load and heat.

A device is missing or recovery stalls

Check the data cable and power, reconnect, and inspect the device list and channels in Settings. Tap Resume if requested. If the issue continues, send support your device, OS, app version, interface, buffer and reproduction steps. Do not send tokens, API keys or model files you lack permission to share.
